Spring Break on the Bluff: Sun Prints

Hallo, Frühling! Spring is in the air at Kreische Brewery and Monument Hill, and what better way to celebrate a break from school than outdoors at the sites! Come up to the Bluff from March 11-19 and take part in one of our many crafts and activities. Each day will include a different educational activity.

Sun Prints: The 19th century saw many cool inventions and scientific experiments that were foundational to what we use in our everyday lives. Before the camera, one early photographic technique was called a cyanotype--commonly referred to as a sun print. Learn more about this scientific process while creating pretty images of nature items from around the sites! After creating your cyanotype, decorate a frame and take your masterpiece home with you!
