A descendent of Thomas Rice who is entombed on Monument Hill, John Rice was an active member of the Friends group and previously served as the organization's president. He was generous with his time and talents. His smile, passion, and all around jovial nature will be greatly missed. |
John Rice was a longtime and treasured volunteer at Kreische Brewery & Monument Hill State Historic Sites. Beloved by both TPWD and THC staff who managed these sites during John's time as a volunteer, he is well remembered for his wassail at Schmeckenfest, welcoming guests at Trail of Lights, leading tours of the brewery, and supporting countless sites' programs and events.
