Music was a central component to both Schuetzenverein events and everyday life within the community. Join us Saturday and Sunday as we dive into the music of “The Frogs,” a 19th century German-Texan singing group based in La Grange that often performed at the Bluff Schuetzen Pavilion.
In this special presentation, learn more about the history of German music in Texas and join us for some familiar tunes in the Kreische formal parlor. Presentations and music sampling are approximately 40 minutes and will be hosted at 12 pm and 2 pm.
